Nativity Christmas cards

Made these from a scrapbook kit by Dawn Inskip called Nativity.  I love the soft colours in all Dawn's kits and I must admit I have bought quite a few since discovering them.  I used Serif's DSA2 to build the cards (another great buy) it makes it so easy to make your own decoupage.  Hope you like!

Productive afternoon

Made the Trick or Treat bag that the children will be making in the craft activity for Halloween.  I used a brown paper lunch bag and a download from Polka Doodles and the cat tag is a free download from Pinkwool.com.
Think I might buy a cheap pack of creepy crawlies to attach as well!

I also made a Christmas card today using a digi image from Whimsie Doodles and a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC........
Awful pun I know but fun!
Thanks for looking.

Been Busy Last Couple of Days

Sunday was such a dank, dreary, miserable wet day (get the picure) I tucked myself away in my Craft Room and had a card making session.  here are the fruits of my labours .....
This is Pirate Penny from Sassy Studio Designs.  She was great fun to colour.  The background paper changes colour as it reflects the light.
These are two of my favourite Mo Manning Images ..... for those hard to please boys!
A Tiddlyinks image perfect for Man cards
And for someone in  total denial of his age!!
I have also been decorating the children's library where I work for Halloween here's a group of plastic bag Ghosts ready to put up tomorrow...

and a bat that I am going to get the children to make in our Halloween Craft Activity .....
Still more to do ....ghost plates and trick or treat bags but I suppose I should do some housework as it's my long day at work tomorrow.
Thanks for looking.

Back from hols

We had a great two weeks away in Scotland.  For once we had two weeks of sunshine with no rain (unheard of for us!!)
This first photo shows the view from our caravan window
We had some nice walks along the coast and I discovered a 'Fairy' tree
and the flowers were blooming ....
Had to visit the pigs of course.  This is Bonking Bob and his mate
and the kids
All in all we had a great chilled out two weeks.  Unfortunately it's back to work tomorrow.  Roll on
September!!!!

New Craft Stash

After a fortnight in the non craft shop zone of Dumfries and Galloway I succumbed on my return home!!!!
These paints can be blended on to paper very much in the style of distress inks.
A very handy stencil to use with the paints for scrapbooking.
Two very nice background stamps that can also be used with the paints.

Displays for Summer Reading Challenge

Really pleased with the way these turned out.  Spent a lot of time at home working on these - that's the way it has to be as I don't always get a lot of time off the desk - we are so short staffed!  This one is in the foyer.
This one is in the Children's Library.  The theme this year is Space Hop so I think I've got it covered,

Back on the Diet

Had a fabulous night out with the girls from work last night at our local Chinese restaurant.  It was all you can eat Buffet Night ....... fatal .... it would have been rude not to go back for second helpings !!!!! Then to top it all they brought out chocolate cake as three of the girls were celebrating Birthdays   AAAAAgh.  Will have to go on starvation rations for the next week to compensate.
Have made a couple more cards  to top up my pile for when we are away - 8 days and counting.
A Tiddly Inks image and Kirsty Wiseman backing papers and Greeting
And Closer
This one is a Mo Manning image and I have paper pieced the chair
And closer

Father's Day Card

Have had a nice weekend visiting my daughter and her family down in Manchester.  Lovely to see our little grandson and it is amazing how he has changed so much every time we see him.  Just wish we lived nearer!
We are off in the caravan in a couple of weeks for our hols so  I have to get myself organised card wise for those people with birthdays etc while we are away I made a start with this Father's day card for Jim's Dad
The image is from Tiddly Inks (just loving these) and the backing papers are from Kirsty Wiseman.
